I was inspired by the Librarian and the Kitchen blog to blog a recipe. I usually enjoy cooking, but really need to be in the mood. My daughter is a waitress & barista (and a uni student) and last week I enjoyed a creamy pumpkin, chicken dish with linguine & freshly made pesto at the restaurant where she works.

I am thoroughly enjoying reading for the first time 'The blunt instrument' a blog written by John Birmingham on the brisbane times newpaper website.

Miles Franklin winner 2009

I read 'Breath' by Tim Winton during the week,thoroughly enjoyed it..couldn't put it down. I have my name on the library reservation list for the other Miles Franklin shortlist titles.
